RENAISSANCE LEARNING, INC. AND THINKGATE, LLC INTEGRATE OFFERINGS

June 20, 2007, Wisconsin Rapids, WI Renaissance Learning, Inc., and Thinkgate, LLC today announced a joint agreement that will enable educators to utilize the Renaissance ResponderTM handheld units with TestgateTM software. The TestgateTM software enables teachers to monitor student progress, measure the curriculum's effectiveness, and differentiate instruction based upon information collected through regular formative assessments. The software tracks individual student responses and provides a detailed analysis of student progress as it relates to the curriculum standards across district, school, teacher and class groups. Educators using TestgateTM will now be able to use the Renaissance Responder as an input device for capturing student responses. A part of the interactive 2Know! Classroom Response System, the handheld Renaissance Responders use two-way radio frequency technology to help teachers know instantly whether or not students understand key concepts. The system's user-friendly toolbar allows teachers to set up questions in just seconds, and the test generator tabulates results automatically into the built-in gradebook, which saves teachers time and eliminates paperwork. "The integration of the Renaissance Responders with Thinkgate software is a terrific combination that provides educators with greater flexibility and enhanced data collection and reporting," said Steve Schmidt, Renaissance Learning President and COO. "Teachers using the tools together will enhance their ability to make data-driven decisions, and in turn, improve classroom performance." "We are very excited to have the Renaissance Responders integrated with our TestgateTM solution," said Eric Waynick, Thinkgate President and CEO. "The handheld Responders will provide an interactive, classroom-based data capture mechanism for Testgate's district level assessments and empower educators with real-time progress monitoring that is easily aggregated across the district." The new version of TestgateTM will be available in late summer 2007. ### About Renaissance Learning, Inc.
