What is CenturyLink Share and Store web interface?

Through the CenturyLink Share and Store web interface, you can securely store and share files online in any location with any computer. You can store files in the CenturyLink Share and Store web interface. You can upload files to CenturyLink Share and Store in three different ways: HTML, Flash, and Java. You can view, download and share files that you have stored in the CenturyLink Share and Store web interface. Using the CenturyLink Share and Store web interface, you can also play the stored music, photo and video files.

Accessing CenturyLink Share and Store web interface

You can access CenturyLink Share and Store web interface through your web browser. Follow these easy steps to access the CenturyLink Share and Store web interface: 1. Enter the following web address to your browser: http://centurylink.ob.f-secure.com 2. Do the following to log in to the web interface: a. Enter your user name. b. Enter your password. c. Click Ok.

What if I cannot access the CenturyLink Share and Store web interface?

If you cannot access the CenturyLink Share and Store web interface, check that you entered a correct URL and that you are using the right login name and password. To be able to access the login page and the portal, you must have Java support (the minimum required version of Java Virtual Machine is v. 1.5) turned on in your web browser. Recovering your password

If you have forgotten your password, you can recover it through the Forgot your password link. To recover your password: 1. 2. 3. 4. Open the CenturyLink Share and Store web interface. Click "Forgot your password?". In the window that opens, enter your e-mail address. Click Validate.

You will receive an e-mail message that has a link to the password recovery page. Note: The "Forgot your password?" option is available also when you install the program.

Using the web interface

After you log in, the main page opens.

Viewing files You can view the files and folders that you have stored on the CenturyLink Share and Store web interface. On the left hand side of the window just click on the folder type (pictures, music etc.) until you find the content you are looking for).

Downloading files In the CenturyLink Share and Store web interface, you can download stored files or folders.

Just click on the file or folder you want to download and follow the instructions.

Click `Save'

Determine where you wish to save on your local computer and click "Save" again.

Your files will now be downloaded. You can open them or close the dialog box by clicking on `Close'

Uploading files (manually) You can manually upload files or folders to the CenturyLink Share and Store web interface in order to access remotely or share with friends, family or social media sites like Facebook, Twitter etc. If you wanted to upload music for example, click on the Share and Store music folder:

Next, click on the `Upload' button to reveal this dialog box:

Click on `Browse your files" and find the folder or file you wish to upload and click on `Open'

Your file(s) will transfer to the `Music' folder, when they finish, click `Close'

In a moment the file(s) will appear in the destination folder and you can click to Open, Share etc.

Clicking `Open' will display the following and in the case of music, play the file:

Sharing files You can share your both your stored files and the files associated with any of your backed up computers. To do this through the CenturyLink Share and Store web interface follow these steps: Select the file or folder you wish to share. In this example, we are sharing a folder that contains approximately six pictures or 4.7mb. In this example we will be sharing via email:

Before sending via email: - you must select the recipient(s) - you can change the subject to better describe the files. By default, the file or folder name is used. - you can add a message to the recipient(s)

When you are finished, just click `Send'. This message will confirm the email was sent:

The recipient will receive an email that looks similar to this, formatting will depend on their specific email program:

If they click on the personalized link, they will be taken to a page similar to this:

By clicking on the folder, they will be able to view all of the photos in the folder you shared.

Adding a new contact In the Contacts tab, you can add a new contact, edit or delete and existing contact or contact, import an entire contact list, or create and edit groups for sharing your files and more.

To create new contacts, click on the `Create a Contact' button and follow the instructions. To create a group, click on the `Create a Group' button:

Name the group, select the group members and click `Add' The new group will show up on the left side of the Share and Store window:

The next time you go to share a file or folder, the group will show up as one of the selections in the `Share by email' dialog box.

Importing contacts from e-mail programs You can import contact names, addresses, e-mail addresses and phone numbers from your email program to the CenturyLink Share and Store web interface. Your email program must be able to export your contacts or address book in `Windows CSV' format. Once you have complete this step you are ready to import the contacts in your Share and Store contacts folder. In the Contacts tab click on `Import CSV'

Click on `Browsw' in the following dialog box to locate the file you exported from your address book:

Locate the specific file and click on `Open', then click on "Add' in the Import window

Use the appropriate field to select the attribute you would like to import into your Share and Store Contact Folder. Then click on `Confirm'

If you are importing a large contact list, please be patient, it might take a few minutes. When the import has finished, the following window will appear, click on `Close' and you will return to the Contacts folder view.

Publishing content to Social Networks You can publish your Share and Stored files or folders in social networks.

Select the files to publish and click on the share button.

A window is displayed, click on the « publish on » tab

Select the social network to publish your files, and click on « PUSH »

Sharing on Facebook: Enter your Facebook credential to access your account.

You can add a personal message, then click on share.

A small message is displayed to inform you that your files are successfully shared.

As you can see, your shared link is now visible on your wall.

By a simple click on the link, all your friends can access your files easily.

When they click on the file they can play music and video files or with photos for example, see a larger view.

Sharing on Twitter: After the selecting the file(s) click on the `Share' Button Next click on the `Publish on' tab

Select Twitter in the `Publish on' tab, and click `Push'

Enter your Twitter credentials to access your account:

When connected to your Twitter account, a link to your shared file is automatically pasted. Then click on update to validate.

Click on "Update" and you will receive the follow acknowledgement:

Your shared link is now posted on your Twitter account.

Posting to the other most popular socials networks works the same way.

Changing the web interface settings Changing your e-mail address

You can change the e-mail address which you used to register to CenturyLink Share and Store web interface. To change the e-mail address: Click Settings at the top left corner of the CenturyLink Share and Store web interface.

The settings dialog box opens. From here you can change your screen alias, your email address, your password and the display language (English or Spanish)

In the login settings enter a new Alias and click on `Submit'. This will change the alias that appears on the Share and Store web interface. To change the email used for reports etc. enter your new e-mail address. In the Password field, enter your password Share and Store password [for security purposes] and click `Submit'.

A message window is shown asking you to confirm the change by clicking the link that was sent in the message to the new e-mail address you provided.

Click OK. [Your address will not be changed, nor will it be reflected on this page until you confirm the change via the email link that is sent to you]

Changing your password

To change your password: In the window, click Password.

First enter your current password. Next, enter a new password. Then, confirm your new password. You must enter exactly the same password as in the previous field. Click Submit. A confirmation message is shown that your password has been changed.

Click OK.

Changing the interface language

To change the interface language: In the window, click Language. From the drop-down box, select the language that you want (English or Spanish)

Click OK. The web interface is now shown in the language that you selected.
