(San Diego, CA) On Wednesday, September 14, 2011, Detectives from the San Diego Police Department Economic Crimes Unit served a search warrant at 3619 Plumosa Drive, in the City of San Diego. The warrant was served after an exhaustive one year investigation. It was determined that over $3 million had been embezzled from Jack's La Jolla, a former night club which was shuttered in August of 2009 as a direct result of this theft. Over $400,000.00 of antiques, furniture, paintings, exotic Italian silk curtains and other items purchased with these funds were seized as a result of the warrant. Arrested at the address was Tara Moore, 39 years old, who had been the bookkeeper at Jack's La Jolla. She was booked into County Jail on Grant Theft charges and is being held on $2.5 million bail.
