SU 100 SILICONE SEALANT / ADHESIVE REMOVER SU100 is specially designed for removing wet and cured silicone sealants, adhesives, oils, gels and grease from glass, metal, ceramic, most plastics and painted surfaces. This remover will chemically digest cured and uncured silicone elastomers and polymers, make them easily water or hydrocarbon solvent (mineral spirits) rinsable. TYPICAL USES SU100 is an easy to use, fast and effective product that will provide cost savings in manufacturing plants, at construction sites and many other facilities where silicone must be effectively removed. Silicones are different, so allow up to 4 hours for removal of silicone. APPLICATIONS

SU100 BEST USED AS: SU100 is best used as a chemical bath for removing silicone RTV, gels, greases, conformal coating etc. Agitation will speed up removal. Elevating the temperature slightly will also speed removal process. You should expect to see results after 2 hours.

Product Description

Note: THIS IS NOT A "WIPE ON WIPE OFF" PRODUCT. THE SU100 MUST BE IN CONSTANT CONTACT WITH THE SILICONE PRODUCT YOU ARE TRYING TO REMOVE FOR AT LEAST 1 HOUR AND SOMETIMES UP TO 4 HOURS OR MORE.

Mechanically remove excess silicone when possible since the thickness of the silicone will extend the time required for chemical remover. This applies to thick silicone adhesives. Always test a small area first to ensure compatibility Apply SU100 liberally to the material to be removed. SU100 is best used as a chemical bath. By using SU100 in a chemical bath, you will get the best results. Do not dilute SU100 with water or solvent. Use as is. Clean up all spills immediately Silicone will be digested in various time periods, thin layers in less than an hour, several hours or leave overnight for very thick areas. Slight elevation of temperature and agitation will speed up the removal process. Remove digested silicone with wooden or plastic spatula or other spatulas available that will not mechanically damage the surface can also be used. Wipe surface with clean, dry towels. Repeat procedure if necessary due to the thickness of the silicone and the surface to be debonded. Surfaces that are to be resealed should be cleaned with mineral spirits or Fantastic and a clean dry cloth before applying fresh sealant. Wash all tools with water or hydrocarbon solvent (mineral spirits) as soon as possible after use. Observe all Federal, State, and Local regulations for waste disposal 2/2

Circuit Board Rinsing Instructions

In order to pass standard ionic test levels for standard printed circuit boards, it is best to follow these instructions. These instructions will give you the best results on high volume circuit board cleaning. You may skip some or adjust the following procedures based on your testing and/or volume of boards. **This information can also be used as a guideline for rinsing other parts coated with silicone oils, greases, fluids and adhesives.
