Week 15 AP Test May 6 (am) Week 16 Final Project part 1 Week 17 Final Project part 2 Week 18 Final Project due Regular Classroom Activities Students will complete a series of reading comprehension questions at the end of each reading. Higher critical analysis questions stretching the readings to real life situations will be used to develop essays. Students are expected to write eight essays in the Spring semester and five essays in the Fall semester. The purpose of writing the essays is to help students expand and improve on their use of the written language and improve their language grammar in Spanish. At teacher's discretion and student need, up to three of the Spring semester essays may be re-writes (second final drafts) after teacher feedback and one on one discussions. To improve on oral proficiency and listening skills students will listen to the recording selections as part of their text and supplemental sources (radio, on-line, readings) provided by teacher and fellow students. Each listening activity will be followed by small group discussions or class discussions using the guiding questions prepared by the teacher. The discussions will vary in form from group discussions, debates and or researched presentation. All students are expected to participate and demonstrated accuracy and fluency in Spanish. Small group discussions will then culminate in the sharing out of thoughts to the whole class. Teacher will monitor presenters to assure that students have an equal (as much as possible) opportunity to address the class. Two to three times a week activities from the examination preparation book will be reviewed and expanded as homework activities. All activities will be conducted in Spanish.
