SOLOHITTER ORIGINAL ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS

Check your parts list to make sure you have all the parts listed. The Solohitter is easily assembled in five steps. Tools required: Phillips head screwdriver and 7/16" hex wrench & pliers. 1

Step 1 Top Rail Frame Assembly

Assemble the top V Frame - consists of: one left curved rail and one right straight rail. Insert two push buttons into the first hole of the right straight rail, one on each end. As shown in Pic 2 and Pic 3 . . Insert the right straight rail into the left curved rail. Pic 4 Make sure the push buttons pop up into the second hole of the left curved rail Pic 5. Install one push button at the end of the left rail. Set the Top V aside.

Step 2 Bottom Rail Frame Assembly The assembly of the bottom V Frame follows the same procedure as the Top rail assembly instructions. Bottom rail assembly consists of: one left curved rail and one right straight rail make sure safety sticker is facing up. Pic 1. Insert two push buttons into the first hole of the right straight rail, one on each end. As shown in Pic 2 and Pic 3 . Insert the right straight rail into the left curved rail Pic 4. Make sure the push buttons pop up into the second hole of the left curved rail. Install one push button at the end of the left rail. Once you have assembled the bottom rail frame locate the pin holes under the bottom left curved rail Pic 5 and install two rubber feet with small screws with phillips head screw driver Pic 6 and Pic 7. If the fit is tight take your small gauge screwdriver, place it in the hole and gently tap with a hammer to enlarge the hole. Install two eyebolts one on each end of the left and right bottom rails and tighten with a nut. Pic 8 an Pic 9. Set the bottom V aside. 6 7 8 9

Step 3 Back Rectangle Frame Assemble the Back Frame - consists of: two vertical U shaped rectangle posts and one straight lateral brace. Lay both vertical posts on the ground and parallel to each other Pic 10. Before the net is installed make sure that the pin holes are matched together on the bottom side Pic 11 & 12. Attach the net to both vertical posts by gathering the alternate loops of the net placing the posts through the loops Pic 13 to Pic 16. Install rubber feet into the small pin holes at the bottom of the vertical posts using the two small screws. Attach the lateral brace with sticker facing forward to the top of each side of the vertical posts using tap bolts and nuts Pic 17. Install eye bolt facing forward in the middle hole of lateral brace. 10 11 12 13

Step 4 V Frames and Back frame. Combine the Top and Bottom V frames with the Rectangle frames. With the rectangle frame on the ground attach the Top V frame Pic 17. Each end of the top V frame will fit into the ends of the vertical rectangle posts. Make sure push buttons snap into place. Next combine the bottom V with the bottom vertical posts just as you assembled the top V. Make sure that the four rubber feet are at the bottom of the frame. Secure the top and bottom of the net using the bungee cords by weaving the bungee in and out of each net loop. Attach the hook at the end of the bungee to each side of the vertical posts or into the hole at the end of the lateral brace Pic 18 . To prevent the back from sagging, pull the top net loop and bungee securing the net above the back of the eye-bolt on the back of the lateral brace. 17 18

Step 5 Ball Assembly Attach the baseball or softball assembly by routing the elastic cord through the top V frame front eye-bolt. Reference diagram D. Pull the hook toward the lateral brace and through the eye-bolt Pic 19. Place the hook at the end of the bungee into the desired pin hole to determine desired ball height. Attach each end of the safety rope to the bottom frame eye-hooks with the rings provided Pic 20 . If your model comes with a pulley place the pulley on the front top V "O" ring. 19 20

IMPORTANT NOTE: MAKE SURE THE HOOK AT THE END OF THE BUNGEE CORD IS INSERTED IN ONE OF THE PIN-HOLES ON THE TOP LATERAL BRACE. BEFORE ANY SWINGS CAN BE TAKEN ON THE SOLOHITTER BOTH SAFETY LINES MUST BE ATTACHED TO THE EYE HOOKS AND TO THE SOLOHITTER FRAME.

SAFETY FIRST

ALWAYS WEAR PROTECTIVE SAFETY GEAR WHEN USING THIS EQUIPMENT. A BATTER MUST WEAR A BATTING HELMET WITH FACE GUARD WHEN USING THE SOLOHITTER. NEVER STAND NEAR THE FRAMEWORK OF THE SOLOHITTER AT ANY TIME. SPECTATORS MUST STAND AT LEAST 20 FEET AWAY FROM THE SOLOHITTER WHEN THE EQUIPMENT IS IN USE. NEVER HANG OR SWING FROM THE SOLOHITTER FRAMEWORK AT ANYTIME. THE FRAME WORK WAS NOT DESIGNED TO HOLD THE WEIGHT OF A PERSON.

MAINTENANCE: Periodically check the baseball or softball for signs of wear. Check the ball, elastic cord and safety lines for wear. Make sure elastic cord and safety lines are firmly in place and hooked to the Solohitter. This is very important! If your equipment is outside for an extended period of time bring your ball assembly inside to protect from sun and winter harm. Keep pets away from chewing on safety cords.
