September-December 2010

Were so glad to be rid of the major road construction that has made it difficult for you to get to us! We enjoyed vending in Port Clintons quilt show and also at the Ann Arbor Quilt Show. We hope you had a chance to get to at least one quilt show this summer. Its a great way to get some inspiration. Summer has been quite warm and the pool has been a great place to be. Soon itll be time for fall and all that it brings our way. Its hard to believe that Christmas is only 4 months away---thats a little more than 110 days. Eek! Our heads have been hard at work thinking up some new classes as well as resurrecting some old favorites. The Quilter's Road Show Shop Hop is coming in October and we are sponsoring a bus on Saturday, October 16th. Cathy is planning a Triangle Square Block Exchange suggested by Edyta Sitar and well have a Friendship Work Day on November 13 to use our exchanged triangle squares. Kathy, Amy and Lois all have some new classes they are introducing. Read over the newsletter and check out the possibilities. Come to Sonflower for the Class Open House on September 11 and look at our samples. There are also 5 new Monthly Projects available to start in September and October. We cant wait to see you!

Happy Quilting, Kathy and Cathy

You may bring fabric from your stash or purchase coordinating fabric. By the end of the series, we will have a collection of sampler blocks to assemble into a quilt.
