PRODUCT DESCRIPTION:

TREMstop Acrylic (GG) is a single component, water-based, acrylic firestop sealant. TREMstop Acrylic (GG) is a high performance, antifungal sealant capable of plus or minus 25 percent movement in fire-rated joints. TREMstop Acrylic (GG) is an economical choice when used as a cold smoke seal for 2 to 3 hour fire-rated penetrations and up to a 2 hour fire rating for up to 2 inch joints. TREMstop Acrylic is also available in a sprayable grade that is compatible with the gun grade.

INSTALLATION TECHNIQUES:

Refer to the Tremco Firestop Manual or the UL/ULC Fire Resistance Directory for specific application instructions. The firestop system details will cover the required sealant depth, necessary amount of packing material and the permitted joint size or annular space. TREMstop Acrylic (GG) is a gunnable sealant, typically applied using conventional caulking equipment.

· Pre-fabricated collar device with one-step installation · Great solution for odd-sized pipes and applications where closing a fixed clamp is impossible · Eliminates labor costs associated with cutting, measuring and installation · Hose clamp sealing system makes securing the device fast and easy · Available to fit a wide variety of pipe sizes · Listed up to a 3 hour fire rating TREMstop D is a pre-fabricated collar device used to firestop nonmetallic pipe penetrations. TREMstop D is a combination of TREMstop MCR and TREMstop WS formed into a specific sized device. Installing TREMstop D will save on labor costs associated with the cutting, measuring and installation of the field fabricated TREMstop WS/MCR system. TREMstop D is available in sizes ranging from 1.5 in. to 12 in. (3.8 cm to 30.5 cm) to fit industry standard pipe diameters. TREMstop D uses a hose clamp sealing system for securing the device around the penetrating items. The hose clamp sealing system is necessary for odd pipe sizes or pipes where it is impossible to close a fixed clamp sealing system. The device is simple to install using a power driver or a screwdriver.

INSTALLATION TECHNIQUES:

Refer to the Tremco Firestop Manual or the UL/ULC Fire Resistance Directory for specific application instructions. TREMstop D is easily installed by wrapping the device around the penetrating item and securing the hose clamp. Bend the tabs outward and slide the device flush with the wall or floor. Mechanically fasten the TREMstop D with the correct amount of fasteners, symmetrically located, to the building assembly. See Tremco TREMstop D Installation Guide for further detail.

This elastomeric, high performance sealant is capable of plus or minus 25 percent movement in a fire-rated joint. TREMstop Silicone is available in selfleveling (SL) or non-sag gun grade (GG) formula for ASTM E-814 through penetrations. TREMstop Silicone is tested for up to a four hour fire rating by independent laboratories and is approved for both through penetrations and joint applications. This high grade sealant is both water-tight and naturally fungalresistant. TREMstop is approved by Agriculture Canada and Health and Welfare Canada for use in food processing plants.

TREMstop Strap

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION:

TREMstop Strap is a state-of-the art system that provides easily installed firestopping for your closed or vented plumbing system. This new intumescent strap can be used in place of a traditional firestopping collar device. It is simple to install by wrapping the strap around the pipe, fastening the ends to each other with the attached tab and sliding it into place within the annular space. This easily installed system does not require fasteners reducing installation time. Available for 11/2 in., 2 in., 3 in. and 4 in. diameter pipes for most nonmetallic penetrations.

Graphite-Based Intumescent Firestopping Wrap Strip

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION:

TREMstop WS (Wrap Strip) is a graphite-based intumescent wrap strip used to treat combustible penetrations. Under heat, TREMstop WS creates a hard char to prevent the spread of flame, smoke, toxic fumes and water through voids created when combustible penetrations burn. TREMstop WS is a highly flexible laminate that is easy to work with, handle, cut and fabricate. The amount of wraps necessary is determined by independent testing based upon the type of penetration and the amount of time for which the building assembly is rated. During a fire, TREMstop WS will expand up to 10 times its normal size. TREMstop WS is available in two sizes. TREMstop WS1 (rolls) is primarily used for nonmetallic piping penetrations with a 4 in. (10.2 cm) diameter or less. TREMstop WS2 (strips) is primarily used for nonmetallic piping penetrations ranging from six to 10 inches (15.2 cm to 25.4 cm) in diameter but may also be used within the firestop systems for TREMstop WS1.

Steel Collar -- Collar fabricated from coils of precut min 0.016 in. thick (No. 28 gauge) galv steel available from the fill material manufacturer. Collar shall be nom 1-1/2 or 2-1/2 in. deep dependent on wrap strip width with 1 in. wide by 2 in. long anchor tabs on 2-1/4 in. centers for securement to the wall. In addition, the collar contains retainer tabs, 3/8 to 3/4 in. wide, located on both sides of the collar for retaining the wrap strips.
