Middlesbrough and Port Clarence

The symbol of Teesside. Opened in 1911, the Transporter Bridge is the largest working bridge of its kind in the world today, and is one of only two left in Britain. Despite being 580 feet between its two towers, it'll take you less than 2 minutes to cross the river on its suspended platform. Come along and take a look! Go there on Service 1

Children aged between 5 ­ 16 years are entitled to travel at half the adult fare. Alternatively, you can buy a Coolrider for only £7.10 a week. Coolriders are valid all day on all Stagecoach buses within Middlesbrough and Stockton boroughs. Nationwide FREE travel is available to the elderly and disabled. Just show your concessionary pass when you board the bus.
