PROPER DISPOSAL METHOD

Red bag in hard-sided leak proof container with biohazard symbols on all sides and top Dispose liquid into sewer using running water

Biohazard waste

Contaminated liquid waste in container See below for disposing of blood and body fluids. If culture is NOT Biohazardous (BSL-1)

Container with liquid removed Decontaminate liquid

Regular trash Red bag in hard-sided leak proof container with biohazard symbols on all sides and top Regular trash
