Contract Vendors FTP Site

Staples Contract now has an FTP (File Transfer Protocol) site to use for exchanging information between Staples and our vendors This should make exchanging images, SKU set-up forms, PDF proofs, Key Supplier materials and other information a little easier for everyone, and our email will not be overloaded with large files! In order to address privacy issues, we've created secure folders with individual logins for all Key Suppliers. These login names and pass¬words will allow each vendor access to their own folder only. Each vendor's folder consists of two subfolders a "To Staples" folder (where you can drop files off) and a "From Staples" folder (where we can post any files for you to pick up). Please take advantage of the FTP site for exchanging PDF proofs, images, vendor ads, Key Supplier Program material, etc.!

If you do not have an FTP program installed on your computer already, you can download any of the following programs:

Accessing the FTP site

Username: XXXXXXX Password: XXXXXX Log on to using the login credentials provided below: You will be directed to your own folder on the FTP site which includes two subfolders a "To Staples" folder and a "From Staples" folder. BOOKMARKING THE FTP SITE ON YOUR COMPUTER · It is recommended that you bookmark the FTP site so you don't have to remember the address, username, and password each time you log in. FOLDERS WITHIN YOUR MAIN FOLDER · Please do not add or delete the "To Staples" or "From Staples" folders (contained within each vendor folder). Within the "To Staples" and "From Staples" folders you can create sub-folders, but please leave "To Staples" and "From Staples" as they are. SAVING FILES ON THE FTP SITE · Once you have logged into the FTP site and have bookmarked the site, the FTP site will act as a shared drive to which you can save files directly. OPENING FILES THAT HAVE BEEN POSTED ON THE FTP SITE · Opening files directly from the FTP site is not recommended because of possible file damage. Please save the file to your desktop or another folder on your computer before opening the file. MAINTAINING FILES ON THE FTP SITE · As a general rule, you will be responsible for maintaining the files that you post. Please do not delete or rename any files that exist on the site that do not belong to you or were not posted by you. If you are posting a file to the FTP site that already exists, make sure to rename the file so that you do not overwrite what is already posted. Please "version" your file (ex: If you post a PDF proof named mydocument.pdf and you want to post a revised version of the PDF, please name the new file mydocument_V2.pdf so that it's clear which file is the most recent and which version is which). If you know that one of your files will not need to be accessed any more, please delete it from the FTP site. We do not want to keep unnecessary files posted. If you have trouble logging in, or need assistance with the FTP site, please contact Joanne Murtoff at [email protected]
