San Francisco Waldorf School. General: $35, Stu/Sen: $25. Pay at the door. Frederik Amrine is a professor of literature, philosophy, and history at the University of Michigan. A longtime student of anthroposophy, his research has been devoted to Goethe, Steiner, German Idealism, and Romanticism.

September 12 ­ October 21 Consciousness Studies

Co-Sponsored by WECAN with Nancy Mellon, Suzanne Down, and Linda Thomas This deepening conference will explore the therapeutic aspects of storytelling and self development. Attendance is open to those who are active in early childhood education and who wish to deepen their work out of an anthroposophical view of the young child. Includes a puppet show performance and vendors bazaar. Friday 7pm ­ Sunday 12:30pm. $140.

with Dennis Klocek This revised course is now being offered as two 3-week intensives, taken separately or consecutively. A combination of lectures, artistic work, and seminar conversations explore the fundamentals of inner transformation. Lectures will focus on the challenges and potentials of initiating changes in the subtle bodies seen through the lens of Rudolf Steiner's spiritual science. Guided collage exercises allow for precise journaling of feelings that arise in the design process. Afternoons are devoted to working with these themes in either painting or eurythmy. October 8 Spanish Immersion Workshop: La Madre de Tierra

with Karen Viani Using a pumpkin poem, we will create a needle-felted pumpkin house and little animals as its inhabitants. Mondays 6-9pm. 4 sessions. $60 for entire series (includes materials).

San Francisco Campus with Karen Viani and Rosario Villasana-Ruiz Taught in Spanish and using the story Mother Earth's Autumn Blanket, we will create Mother Earth through needle felting. Saturday 9am-4pm. $60.
