Let us give praise and thanks to God for such a gift, and pray that we can be a peaceful people in all that we do. MAY RAFFLE - $120.00 GRAND RAFFLE TOTAL - $29,878.00 MISSING - The Blessed Mother statue that was in the old hall has been missing ever since the hall was cleared out for demolition. Does anyone remember where this statue was stored? Or did someone take it home for repainting? The statue before the lectern was borrowed.

RELIGIOUS ED Religious Ed for preschool through grade 5, Wednesday, May 8th, 6:45 PM. This is the last class of the school year. The Awards Program is at 7:20 PM in church. All are welcome to attend. Thank you to Grade 5 for planning and participating in the Mass on May 1. We give thanks to our catechists: Laurie Husted, Karen Hicks, Julie Steuri, Elaine Hicks, Emma Spreckelson, Dana Newhart, Samantha Toops, Dollie and Meggie Stirn, Tammy Slagle, Donna Harlemert, Megan Wilson and Patty Simon (Coordinator of the Program and Catechist). Thank you for living and sharing the Good News of Jesus with our children. YOUTH NEWS: - May 19th, following Sunday Mass, all youth are invited to help spring clean our hall, religious education rooms and the grounds. Pizza will be served for lunch! GRADUATION MASS - We will honor our senior graduates at Mass on Sunday, May 19, 10:00 AM PARISH COUNCIL - Janice Simon was elected to the Parish Council. Thank you to her and to Cindi Ahlrich and Jill Tunny for their willingness to have their names placed on the ballot. MEETINGS THIS WEEK Sunday, May 5, 11:00 AM - Board of Education Meeting. OBSERVE MOM'S SPECIAL DAY AND SUPPORT OUR PARISH1 Again this year we will be selling floral baskets (from the Garden Shack in Batesville) with all proceeds benefiting our Building Fund.

The sale will take place on Saturday May 11th, 9:00 AM to 7:30 PM, and Sunday, May 12th, 9:00 AM till 11:30 AM. MOTHER'S DAY BREAKFAST Next Sunday, the men of the parish are preparing a breakfast to which everyone is invited to attend immediately after the 10:00 Mass. We hope you will bring the family! MASS OF ANOINTING - Tuesday, May 21, 11:00 AM a Mass with the Sacrament of Anointing will be held at the K of C Hall, Batesville. Call the parish office by Monday, May 13 so reservations can be made. BLOOD PRESSURE - This weekend, after both Masses, you can get your blood pressure checked in the St. Anne Room. THANK YOU to the many people who donated and helped in any way with our Spring Smorgasbord a few weeks ago. All your help was greatly appreciated. PORK CHOP DINNER - The Batesville Knights of St. John will host a Pork Chop dinner on Saturday, May 18, 4:30 to 7:30 PM. FOOTBALL HUMOR - A college football coach said of one of his players: "He doesn't know the meaning of the word 'fear.' I just saw his grades, and he doesn't know the meaning of a lot of words." "What do you say to a pro football player dressed in a three piece suit?" "Will the defendant please rise?" "How is your college football team like an opossum?" "They play dead at home and get killed on the road." THOUGHT WORTH PONDERING Part of our vocation in life is to be both recipients and transmitters of God's Beauty.
