Tips and Precautions

- When going on vacations for short periods, leave your appliance adjusted for normal use temperature. Only remove the perishable foods, as it always may occur a prolonged energy fall. - The Weekend function will automatically reprogram your refrigerator in a short use period, causing it to operate in an economical functioning routine. - When going on vacations for over a month periods, remove all foods, clean the refrigerator and leave it disconnected with half-open door. - Do not allow children to play with the product or its packing, to avoid accidents. - Do not put your fingers on the freezer walls. - Check that air can freely circulate in the condenser (rear part of the product) upwards, since this is important for the good appliance performance. Objects hanging from the condenser or obstructing the air passage increase the energy consumption.

6

- Maintain the condenser (rear part of the product) always clean and unclogged, not placing cloth pieces for drying. - Periodically check that the doors are completely closing and that there is no air inlet into freezer or refrigerator. - Be sure to install the product in a fresh, dry and well-ventilated room. - Do not allow it to be exposed to sunlight or near to heat sources, such as stoves, heaters, etc.

Normal Operation Noises Your appliance from time to time connects and disconnects the compressor to maintain the selected temperature. Therefrom resulting noises are produced by the appliance functioning. They automatically decrease as soon as the appliance has reached the operation temperature. A "humming" sound may be heard whenever the door is closed or when the compressor (motor) is operating. lt may become higher when the motor is being connected. "Gushing" and "draining" sounds are produced by the cooling gas flowing through the tubes. Crack type noises may occur when: - automatic defrosting is functioning; - the appliance heats or cools (material expansions) - the appliance is out of level (align it by means of a spirit level. Utilize the leveling feet); - the appliance is lean-to (take the appliance away from furniture or other apparatuses which are near); - drawers and shelves are out of place (check the components and fit them into their places) - bottles or other containers are in contact (separate for them not to touch among themselves).

Tips for Energy Conservation - Avoid maintaining the doors open for long periods of time. lt is preferable to open and close several times to take or replace foods. - Do not place hot foods into refrigerator or freezer. Always allow them to cool out of the product before placing them for conservation. - Adjust operation temperature according to your need - Store foods in appropriate packages, such as plastic bags or vessels with covers. - The ventilation openings should remain free.
