STS began its operations as a member of the OOSC (Oman Oilfield Supply Centre L.L.C) Group of Companies. The company has come a long way since it started with maintenance activities and manpower secondment. Oilfield operations and maintenance has been the `forte' of STS ever since the company was established in 1980. Operating from the Sultanate of Oman, with a workforce exceeding 6000 personnel, STS offers solutions encompassing the entire range of services for oil & gas, power and petrochemical sectors. With over nine fabrication shops in Oman, the company has varied capabilities and vast experience to execute both longterm service contracts and lump sum turnkey contracts. The Client base extends beyond Oman in other parts of the MENA region and is served by registered offices in Abu Dhabi and Bahrain. Areas of competence: Projects: The Company undertakes multidisciplinary EPC projects with an experienced management team, multidiscipline workforce and in house fabrication facilities and equipment division. STS is proud to be the partner of choice with major EPC contractors for all major EOR projects in Oman such as Harweel, Qarn Alam Steam and Marmul Polymer Injection. The specialisation in long term service contracts can be attributed to successful completion of several such contracts with PDO since 1990. The latest Integrated Services contract awarded by PDO to the joint venture of STS and Tebodin is the EMC North Contract (2010-2017).The annual contract turnover has an estimated value of around USD 120 million. Earlier the Engineering Maintenance Contract (EMC-North Oman) was a major milestone for STS in providing integrated services to PDO. This five year contract (2005-2010) and valued at around USD 700 million in contract



value, is nearing successful completion. A dedicated team of about 400 personnel and specialised equipment carry out all the Tank related design, construction and maintenance activities in house. STS provides civil building and general construction services to clients with a dedicated Civil Division that maintains a network of offices and a workforce of more than 2200 employees. The E&I division continues to build Electrical and Instrumentation facilities to support oil and gas operations and power plants as much as it undertakes construction of overhead lines and other related infrastructure facilities for the public sector owner and private sector developer. Fabrication: This new industrial facility in Nizwa is a major boost to the in-house capabilities of STS to provide total solutions in the Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Power, Aluminium and other industrial sectors. Established in 1980, STS over the years has emerged as a premier EPC Company specialising in fabrication, construction and maintenance services. The major fabrication facilities are in Nizwa and Sohar, besides site workshops at Yibal, Lekhwair, Fahud, Saih Rawl and Qarn Alam. The operations in Nizwa has commenced recently with the opening of the new fabrication shop. This specialised fabrication workshop, with an overall plot area of 100,000 sq mtrs, covered area of 5000 sq mtrs and three working bays, is equipped with state of the art welding & testing machinery and material handling equipment. Nizwa shop is approved by Petroleum development Oman and other major clients in Sultanate of Oman for specialized products like Pressure Vessels to ASME Sec.VIII Div.1 & Div.2, Separators, Tanks, Slug Catchers, Filters, Skid mounted package units, manifolds, Strainers, Orifice assemblies and a host of other equipment. The shop takes pride in its capabilities to cater to specialised piping fabrication involving exotic materials such as Alloy 625, Alloy 825, DSS and LTCS.The Nizwa shop can cater to heavy engineering fabrication with plate rolling capacity of 67mm thickness x 3 m wide and material handling capacity up to 150 MT with 10.5m height below the crane hook. The Sohar workshop was established in 2006. Both the shops at Nizwa and Sohar Shop are fully equipped to cater to major international standards ­ ASME Sec. VIII Div.1, Div.2, BS, PD5500, API, Shell standards. The workshop facilities are qualified by ASME Board and API Board accredited with ASME Certifications ­ ASME ­U, U2, S, NB, NBR, API Monograms ­ 6A & 6D. The STS workshop welding capabilities include TIG, MIG, SMAW, SAW, FCAW welding and the quality assurance is met through more than 200 PQRs /WPSs meeting the International standards. Oilfield operations and maintenance has been the company's `forte'. The workshops have the technical expertise to carry out repair and maintenance of large centrifugal

pumps/ screw pumps and complete overhaul, repair and reinstallation of beam pumps. Other services include machining of valve components, pump parts, orifice plate, heat exchanger manufacturing/ re-tubing and manufacture of strainer components.



Maintenance: The company has come a long way since it started with maintenance activities and manpower secondment 30 years ago. The Campaign Maintenance contract (1993­ 96), Pipeline Maintenance contract (1996-99) and the Well Head and Field Maintenance contract (2001-10) with PDO have promoted STS as the leading contract in maintenance services. Further, the Sohar Refinery PTA 2010 Refinery Shutdown project and ORPC turnaround project demonstrated our world class capabilities in this field. ORPC's MAF refinery major TA during 2007 revamp was successfully executed by STS. The job won STS it's appreciation for quality and safe completion. ORPC Sohar Refinery's first major TA during 2010 was successfully completed by STS with almost 1 million safe man-hours. The client once again appreciated the timely completion and the quality of work performed. Over the years, the company has carried out successful operations & maintenance, major repairs / overhauls, reviews/studies and extended effective and efficient tool maintenance solution to the Oil and Gas industry, in particular to refineries and petrochemicals. Our specialisation is in maintenance of exchangers, all type of static equipment such as column, reactor, vessels and furnaces, performing skilled task like torquing/tensioning, welding, catalyst handling etc and providing quality manpower and equipment. Specialised Services: Through joint ventures with reputed international companies, STS caters to the Gulf Aluminium fabrication market and HDPE lining projects. HDPE lining is an economic and robust solution for pipeline rehabilitation or corrosive applications such as sour service pipelines. STS commenced HDPE lining operations in 1994 and have since completed installation of over 2000 kilometres of HDPE lining in Oman, Qatar and UAE. MASCO is a wholly owned Joint venture company between Special Technical Services LLC of Oman (50%) and Austin Engineering of Australia (50%). MASCO caters for the expanding Gulf Aluminium Fabrication market in the fields of · Potroom aluminium busbar fabrication including risers and anode beams · Anode stem fabrication and refurbishment · Site installation and commissioning assistance of busbar systems Core values: STS is committed to developing, sustaining and enhancing a strong culture of customer care within the organisation.
