Studio Spear Breakthrough ideas. Bottom line results.

ABOUT JEFFREY SPEAR As a child, Spear participated in private art classes and learned a wide range of disciplines. This experience, coupled with the training he received from the University of Arizona in graphic design, earned him a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in 1977. Upon graduation, Spear moved to Santa Monica, California. He enjoyed a successful career; first as an employee with several local design studios and, subsequently, as a freelance designer. As a result of his exceptional talents in typography, logo and trademark design, Spear developed art titles and advertising concepts for feature films and record covers including Flashdance, Good Morning Vietnam and Michael Jackson's "Bad." His reputation spread nationally and attracted assignments from leading organizations including Anheuser Busch, BaskinRobbins and Mattel. As a result, Spear was asked to contribute strategically, as well as creatively, to the direction these brands would pursue. This allowed Spear to expand from a one-man freelance operation to Studio Spear, a leading international marketing and creative services consultancy. While the entertainment business provided visibility, the majority of the assignments that Studio Spear handled applied to consumer brands and, more specifically, packaged goods. Studio Spear operated in Los Angeles for fifteen years and became better known for its work with consumer brands, new product introductions and packaging design. In 1992, Spear moved to Melbourne and continued his work with leading Australian brands including Carlton United Breweries, Mirvac and Chemmart as well as many smaller, home grown brands. After eight years "down-under" and a desire to be closer to family, Spear returned to the United States. Spear now works from his office at the beach in Jacksonville Florida and supports a broad range of consumer lifestyle brands around the globe. He provides marketing assistance to foreign business interests that acknowledge exports as the key to enterprise growth, including strategic planning and creative services that culturally align foreign brands with international markets and consumer preferences. Jeffrey also writes articles and conducts seminars for a variety of trade publications and event organizers on a broad variety of topics. Some of these include, but are not limited to, emerging category trends, the influence of technology and the internet, effective marketing strategies, innovative design solutions and enterprise best-practices.
