Possessive Nouns Scavenger Hunt Activity

Materials: Copy of the noun cards at the bottom of this page (one per class) Copy of the "Possessive Noun Scavenger Hunt" worksheet (one for each student) Items from your classroom (computer, desk, tape, crayons, stapler, etc.) Print this page on colored paper. Cut out the boxes at the bottom of this page and "hide" them around the classroom. Attach each card to the actual item. (example: Tape the card that says, "This computer belongs to Jill" onto the classroom computer.) Students will search the room for the objects with cards. When they find one, they will write the possessive noun on their paper. (example: Jill's computer) Students should try to find all 16 possessive noun cards and write the nouns on their worksheet.
