CPV Test Suite

The CPV Test Suite is a turnkey test solution that enables complete concentrated photovoltaic module performance characterization. The CPV Test Suite performs dark and illuminated I-V measurement as well as acceptance angle characterization. The CPV Test Suite was designed with ease of use in mind. Data collection, analysis, reporting and organization are all performed quickly and effortlessly.

SOFTWARE FEATURES The CPV Test Suite features the following: Real-time data acquisition throughout the I-V sweep Customizable reporting Translation of I-V curves to preset or user-defined standard test conditions I-V parameter extraction Database with management tools Smart tagging of datasets Offline analysis package Side-by-side testing of modules (as required by IEC 62108) SUPPORT The CPV Test Suite includes the following support features: 1 day of on-site installation, support, and training 30 days of user support 1 year of feature upgrades and remote support HARDWARE FEATURES The CPV Test Suite includes a source-meter unit, data acquisition hardware, and the following sensors: Normal incidence pyrheliometer Pyranometer Ambient thermocouple Pressure sensitive adhesive thermocouples Azimuth and elevation sensors Kelvin (4-point) probes Anemometer The system is housed in a 7U 19" rack-mountable enclosure. MINIMUM SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS The CPV Test Suite requires the following (also available from Surya Design): Computer Minimum 1280x800 resolution, outdoor rated display Intel® P4 1.6GHz, 2Mb L2 cache or equivalent Microsoft® Windows® XP Pro / Vista Business or Ultimate 2Gb RAM (4Gb preferred) 500Mb free disk space (7200+ RPM drive preferred) Available USB 2.0 port Network connectivity (to support offline analysis) SPECIFICATIONS The CPV Test Suite is based on a flexible platform which can accommodate a wide variety of test requirements. SINGLE I-V CURVE CAPTURE The CPV Test Suite is able to perform I-V sweeps throughout all 4 quadrants while recording sensor measurements at every single I-V sweep point.

MULTI-CURVE COMPARISON Once data has been acquired, it is easy to compare different I-V sweeps in a single view.

ACCEPTANCE ANGLE CHARACTERIZATION (AAC) The acceptance angle characterization module quantifies module acceptance angle far beyond a simple half-angle measurement.
