I determined the length of my coffin box so that it would fit in the box of my pickup with the tailgate closed, and also be long enough to lay down in. For me that length worked out to be 78 ½". Please note that sides will be longer then the bottom length. After cutting out the bottom use your tape measure and bend it to the arc of the bottom to determine side length. IMPORTANT: The coffin box described in these plans is not a boat, nor should it be used as a boat.
