Asian Federation of Societies for Lactic Acid Bacteria

Malaysian Society for Microbiology

Background The Asian Federation of Societies for Lactic Acid Bacteria (AFSLAB) is a non-profitable professional organization that encourages research, communication, and education in lactic acid bacteria (LAB) and related sciences. This Federation brings together established Scientific Societies and Groups in Asia that are involved in LAB research. Member countries take turn to organize a major symposium biannually, and EXCO meetings yearly. In 2010, Malaysia will be the host for the 6th AFSLAB EXCO meeting. We take this opportunity to invite researchers to share their research findings in the mini-symposium organized in conjunction with the EXCO meeting.
