VANCOUVER'S TALELIGHT FILMS ANNOUNCES THREE-PICTURE DEAL WITH EQUINOXE FILMS "NOTES FROM A LIFE" FIRST FEATURE SCHEDULED FOR 2007

VANCOUVER, BC., October 16, 2006 - - Talelight Films Incorporated, a Vancouverbased filmed entertainment company, announced today that it has signed a coproduction and distribution agreement with Montreal-based Equinoxe Films, a leading film and television producer and distributor. Under the terms of the agreement, Talelight and Equinoxe will jointly produce three feature films for theatrical release. Talelight cofounders Jeff Richards and James Upton, and Senior Vice-President and COO of Equinoxe Films Michael Mosca, will serve as producers on all three films. Jeff Richards will direct two of the three films, which Equinoxe will distribute in all media in Canada. The first project to be produced under the agreement is NOTES FROM A LIFE, a moving psychological drama about a woman who is forced to confront her admiration of her father, the artist, and contempt for her father, the man. Written by Jeff Richards, NOTES FROM A LIFE is set against a rich and powerful backdrop of music. Emotionally complex, the film examines the strength of passion and the power of genius... and the darker side of both. "NOTES FROM A LIFE is a wonderful script," said Michael Mosca. "We are proud to be associated with Talelight, a talented new filmmaking voice. Jeff and James both share Equinoxe's same passion and commitment to making quality films with universal appeal. We look forward to bringing their films to the big screen." "Talelight was founded on great storytelling, with strong, dynamic roles for women that will appeal to the international marketplace," said Richards. "NOTES FROM A LIFE is a powerful embodiment of these values and we're looking forward to telling this story and others like it with Equinoxe." "This is an exciting opportunity to work with Michael Mosca, an accomplished veteran of the industry, and Equinoxe Films, a force in independent production and distribution," said Upton. "Working with Equinoxe enables Talelight to bring these compelling stories to audiences worldwide." The agreement encompasses all territories in all media including theatrical distribution, home entertainment and television. Equinoxe Films is a leading, vertically integrated film and television producer and distributor of quality motion pictures for theatrical, video and television release. Recent and previous box office successes include Un dimanche a Kigali, which earned more than $1 million at the Quebec box office, Beowulf & Grendel, The Passion of the Christ, My Big Fat Greek Wedding, and Mambo Italiano. ...2/
