Vince Poscente

Is our 24/7, more-faster-now culture eating us alive... or setting us free? New York Times bestselling author, inductee into the Speaker Hall of Fame and Olympian, Vince Poscente has the answer. Vince Poscente provides an invigorating perspective that reveals: J Innovation at Work -- learn how to innovate in any business situation using Poscente's recreational skier to Olympian in four years model. J Competitive Advantages -- internalize a powerful change in how to compete using the approach "Do what the competition is not willing to do." J Leadership for the Self -- high speed results are possible in cultures that foster an attitude of "Owning the solution." J Speed of Execution -- learn from The Age of Speed's "Jet Profile" where employees and companies embrace Agility, Aerodynamics and Alignment. J Taking Control -- with an infectious energy, warmth and humor, Poscente delivers an experience that translates into an empowered audience. Vince Poscente used his unique perspective on business and speed to reach the gold medal round of the Olympic speed-skiing competition only four years after deciding to compete -- with no previous racing experience. With every effort concentrated on achieving his own top speed, he began to notice the pervasive and defining influence speed has in all our lives. Unraveling the notion that in today's world we need to slow down, Poscente illustrates why harnessing the power of speed is the ultimate solution for those seeking less stress, less busyness, and more balance. He combines lessons from his remarkable Olympic experience with insights from his book, The Age of Speed, to inspire even the most resistant individuals to embrace speed. With his infectious energy, warmth, and humor, Vince's keynote leaves audiences energized and excited about getting fast results.

Focusing on change alone is a mistake. Let's redirect our focus on embracing the speed in our more-faster-now culture. You don't cope with change... you embrace it. What is critical is the next level... not coping with speed but harnessing it. Execution is not about what to do... it is about how to do it... that's what creates innovative execution.

TeamMate Suite Overview

Are you new to TeamMate or thinking about moving beyond EWP? If you're planning to implement the entire suite, this elective will provide the information you need. We'll cover the project life cycle, terminology and categories (and why it's so important to get them right), user and resource administration, data flow across the suite, and other implementation considerations.

This session is suitable for all users, particularly New and Intermediate Users.

Advanced User Focus Group

This session is intended for experienced users who want to discuss R9 features across the suite. This session will be facilitated by members of the Development Team who will present features currently in design; participants of this session can discuss how the proposed functionality will work in their organizations. Topics that will be discussed include Suite Integration of Risk and Controls, Dashboards and Centralized Reporting, and more.

This session is suitable for Advanced Users.

Implementation Best Practices

Before you implement additional modules in the suite, take a look at the big picture. Understand the implications of field selections, naming the terminology fields and how the data flows from one module to the next.

This session is suitable for New and Intermediate Users.

Risk & Controls Across the Suite

The R9 release will incorporate Risk and Control Libraries in TeamStore (formerly known as Risk Universe) which allows a `Get' into a TeamRisk risk assessment or EWP project. Additionally, risks and controls will flow from TeamRisk to EWP to TeamCentral for reporting. This class will walk users through this process and demonstrate how risk-based auditing can be performed with ease across the TeamMate suite.

This session is suitable for Intermediate and Advanced Users as well as those Moving to R9.

Training Your New TeamMate Users

If your department is growing or has frequent turnover, then this is a session for you. What may seem like a daunting task is much simpler than you think. This session arms you with the tools, resources and knowledge to train new TeamMate users effectively. Learn about the many resources, including CBTs, which are available to you and others.

This session is suitable for all users.

R7 to R9 Migration

If your department is still using an R7 version of TeamMate, then this class is for you. This session will provide an overview of the functional changes in EWP that were introduced in the R8 releases and for R9. In addition, we will discuss areas for consideration such as how the use of conversion.tml can be applied to update project files and what information should be added or updated before converting to R9.

This session is suitable for those users planning to move to R9 but still using version R7.

Course Descriptions

TeamMate & GRC

This session will provide an introduction into Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC). GRC is an increasingly recognized term that reflects a new way organizations focus on and manage an integrated approach to these three areas. The purpose of GRC is to provide sustainability, consistency, efficiency, and transparency for the multiple GRC processes in the organization. This is achieved by encouraging collaboration among the roles responsible for GRC (e.g., corporate secretary, corporate compliance, enterprise risk, audit, IT, line-of-business, investigations, legal) as well as leveraging a common framework and technology infrastructure. During this session, you will be exposed to the way some companies are managing GRC within their organizations and gain an understanding of how CCH is addressing the need for a related toolset, with solutions such as CCH Sword at the forefront.

This session is suitable for all users, particularly Audit Management.

TeamStores

This elective is focused on another key aspect of TeamMate EWP and is designed for users who have recently licensed the product or have just begun the implementation process. Effective use of TeamStores is a key to leveraging TeamMate EWP and promoting knowledge management within your audit department. Your TeamStore should contain Audit Programs, Workpapers, and Exceptions, and this session will show you how to build effective TeamStores using several reallife examples of best practice TeamStores. We will also discuss how audit programs from AuditNet.org can be incorporated into your TeamStores.

This session is suitable for New and Intermediate Users.

Audit Libraries/Templates

In R9, Audit Templates are no longer separate files (.tml) but are integrated into the suite database. Terminology and categories can be defined in TeamAdmin, and TeamStore organizes information based on Templates. The work program content and policies are still administered in EWP, but no longer stored externally to the database. This session will focus on the changes introduced with this new format, with some discussion of how existing Libraries can be migrated to the R9 version.

This session is suitable for New and Intermediate Users and those Moving to R9.

TeamMate & Sarbanes-Oxley

The ongoing Sarbanes-Oxley requirements impact most audit departments. TeamMate is a valuable asset for documenting your testing of control effectiveness. Attend this session to learn how departments are using TeamMate to help with their SOX efforts. In this session we will share best practices for tracking SOX testing work in TeamMate as well as demonstrate TeamMate interoperability with leading 3rd-party SOX tools. If your department is responsible for "SOX audits," this session is a must for you.

This session is suitable for all users, particularly Audit Management.

TeamMate EWP -- 101

This course is the "foundation" session for TeamMate EWP users who have recently licensed the product or have just begun the implementation process. The goals of this session will be to enhance your knowledge about features that you want to begin using and illustrate best practices and cool features of which you may not be aware. You will learn tools and tips to effectively and efficiently document your audit work within the EWP module.

This session is suitable for New Users.

TeamMate & Quality Assessments

This course is geared toward those who would like to learn how to use TeamMate to apply the IIA's Quality Assurance Framework within their department. Did you know that the entire IIA QAR Framework is available in TeamStore format at no charge? This session will show you how you can perform a Quality Assessment of your department using the IIA QAR TeamStore. Walk away from this session with the know-how to prepare for your next QAR.

This session is suitable for all users, particularly Audit Management.
