We are delighted to introduce you to our latest Tellabs EMEA Training Catalog to tell you about the portfolio of courses Tellabs has to offer you across Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA). Inside, you will find detailed course descriptions currently offered by Tellabs Training Centers within EMEA. We combine theoretical and practical product training with systems integration training, to help you that your operations and support organizations are ready to serve your customers. We currently offer basic and advanced courses for users of ·Tellabs 8800 products ·Tellabs 8600 products ·Tellabs 8100 products ·Tellabs 8000 products ·Tellabs 7100 products ·Tellabs 6300 products ·Tellabs 3100 products Our courses range in scope from product overviews to operation and maintenance instruction. Duration can range from one day to around eight days, and our portfolio includes a variety of levels - from basic introduction to advanced classes. To achieve the best learning result, most of our courses combine instructor-led lessons with hands-on configuring, testing and troubleshooting. Students are trained in networked classroom laboratories. We simulate field conditions to give you realistic experiences of system operations within a networked environment. Our highly qualified training instructors will provide you with hands-on experience in the use of Tellabs products that will take you well beyond any skills that can be obtained through textbook learning. Our courses are normally conducted in English, but some courses can be conducted in Danish, Finnish, Italian, Portuguese, Spanish and Turkish depending on customer requirements and instructor availability. Course participants will receive a comprehensive set of training material and a certificate to attest to course completion. Texts will be provided in English. Training Policy and Procedures

Training Facilities Product training courses, designed to optimize operations and maintenance skills, are normally offered at Tellabs Training Center facilities where classroom instruction is combined with a unique mix of hands-on testing and troubleshooting. Field conditions are simulated to maximize the transfer of instruction to actual system operations within a network environment. Courses can be arranged at the training center locations below, or if you prefer, on-site at your own business location. Training on Customer Site On-site instruction at your business location can be arranged to accommodate your schedules to minimize travel-related costs and to provide the added benefit of training using your own unique system configuration. On-site classroom training is particularly effective when a new system is being installed and training can be scheduled prior to system activation. It is requested that the following be available for all courses conducted outside Tellabs Training Center facilities: ·A training system (if hands-on lab exercises are desired) with an adequate number of workstations for student use. The training system must not be carrying live network traffic. Another option is to use Tellabs equipment over the web using Lab Connect. ·Dedicated classroom facility equipped with training aids such as video projectors, white boards, etc. ·Required test equipment (as applicable). The price for an on-site course consists of the course price and the instructor's travel and living expenses. A day for the check and set-up of the customer's training equipment may be applied.

Tellabs Denmark Training Center How to Select a Course Courses are specifically designed for equipment installation and maintenance as well as for network management and system administration. The optimized training paths for required skill sets are described in the following pages. All courses are categorized from basic to advanced levels and brief overviews are given to guide you as to the selection order of the courses for each product family. Update courses are for regular updating and refreshing of skills and knowledge bases. Course descriptions include prerequisites. Before registering for any course, students are expected to meet the prerequisite requirements. How to Order a Course Training schedules are published at www.tellabs.com/training/ and at TLC site (tlc.tellabs.com). For course orders and checking the real-time seat availability, complete the online enrollment form in TLC via Tellabs Portal or contact your Tellabs Account Manager or Tellabs Training Center. If you prefer, please feel free to use the registration form at the end of this catalog ­ especially if larger groups of trainees are involved. For enquiries and tailored training courses, please contact Tellabs Training Center directly. Early registration is highly recommended as courses may fill up 10 to 12 weeks in advance. Tellabs reserves the right to reschedule or cancel the course if necessary due to unforeseen circumstances beyond its control or if the minimum class size (referred to in the course datasheet) is not achieved. Tellabs will not be responsible for any costs incurred by a customer as a result of rescheduling or cancellation by Tellabs. How to Cancel a Course In case of cancellation, please contact Tellabs Training Center at least two weeks prior to the start of the course. Training cancelled less than two weeks prior to the start of the training will be invoiced in full as a late cancellation fee. All cancellations must be sent in writing to Tellabs Training Center in order to receive full refund.

Tellabs Training Connect Services

Tellabs Training Connect Services is a flexible, cost-effective training portfolio designed to provide you with access to the product training whenever and wherever you need it. With Tellabs Training Connect Services, you have access to the following training offerings: Classroom-Connect - Traditional instructor-led training at Tellabs or on-site at your location Get hands-on with Tellabs technology and taught by a live instructor in a traditional classroom environment. Classes held at Tellabs' training facilities closely simulate a typical work environment. The on-site options will require a customer-provided non-traffic bearing system or use of Lab-Connect for hands-on exercises. U-Connect - Web-based training for self-paced learning U-Connect provides students with the flexibility of self-paced learning over the web. Choose training that is ready when you are: anywhere, anytime, 24x7. Accessed through our Portal or hosted on your network, U-Connect provides complete web classes. Lab-Connect - Training with access to Tellabs hands-on laboratories over the web We bring our Training Center lab to you. Lab-Connect is offered in conjunction with traditional instructor-led classroom training to provide hands-on learning no matter where you are. Lab-Connect currently uses Citrix technology.

Remote-Connect - Live instructor-led training over the web Enter our classroom through your computer. With RemoteConnect, you will see and hear PowerPoint presentations and live system demonstrations using standard web-conferencing tools (Microsoft Live Meeting) plus a conference bridge for audio presentation. You will even have whiteboard and other virtual interaction with the instructor. In addition, Remote-Connect supports limited hands-on activities where the instructor relinquishes control of his desktop to one student at a time so that hands-on exercises can be completed by the remote student (application sharing). Benefits of Lab-Connect and Remote Connect ·Enables on-site training without the customer providing a non-traffic bearing system. The customer only needs internet-capable PCs. ·Customer systems do not have to be taken off-line for training, and they continue to generate revenue in parallel with the training course. Tellabs Training Paths are now available to help you choose the most appropriate training courses to meet your Tellabs product learning needs. Presented in easy-to-read flowchart form, you can efficiently browse through all the instructor-led and web-based courses available to you from Tellabs. Training Paths illustrate recommended course sequences and prerequisites. Tellabs Training Paths are designed for Tellabs product series with various Tellabs management systems. In addition to Tellabs product series, you can also find learning paths for several roles, for example installation technicians, network operators and system experts. The most recent updates to these Training Paths are in Tellabs Learning Connections, TLC. Log into TLC in tlc.tellabs.com and look for the Training Path link on the home page left-most column or in the course catalog page for each product family. Similar flowcharts will open, and by clicking on the course box the relevant course descriptions will show in TLC window. After each course description there is a calendar listing of all course sessions in the near future and the number of vacant seats. Simply by clicking on the Enroll link, you can reserve a seat for you for the course dates you prefer. The student will learn to utilize local and remote alarm indications to isolate faults within a network of 7100 Network Elements.
