Bus departs for the Rio Grande Valley Sector Harlingen Station Arrive at RGV HQ Speaker: RGV Sector Assistant Chief Patrol Agent Mario Villarreal We will be given a sector overview to include: Sector Area Responsibility, Operations, Technology, Apprehensions, and Seizures followed by Q&A Depart RGV Sector HQ for the Rio Grande River We will be given a Rio Grande Boat (McAllen Station AOR) and Land Tour. We will be put into multiple groups. changing tours after approximately 30 minutes. Depart Rio Grande River for San Benito Lunch and Board of Directors Meeting Location: Longhorn Cattle Company BBQ and Steak Restaurant, 3055 W. Expwy. 83 Board bus for the Los Fresnos Immigration Detention Center Speakers will join us on the bus. Arrive at Los Fresnos Speaker: SDDO Sylvester Ortega, Special Event Unit We will be given a tour of the detention center in multiple groups. Depart for the hotel Arrive at the hotel Bus departs for reception and dinner Dinner and Fireside Chat Welcome: Richard Cortez, Mayor of McAllen Speakers: Eddie Aldrete, Senior Vice President IBC and State Senator Dan Patrick-R Location: McAllen Convention Center, W. Expressway 83 and S. Ware Road Bus departs for movie theatre Watch a movie on immigration Location: Cine El Rey, 311 South 17th St. Enjoy McAllen nightlife or return to the hospitality suite in the hotel

Saturday, August 9 Location: Meetings on Saturday will be held at the McAllen Convention Center, W. Expwy. 83 and S. Ware Road 8:00am Bus departs for the Convention Center 8:30 ­ 9:00am Breakfast 9:00am Framing the Day: Immigration: Historical Perspective to Today Historical overview of legal, illegal and forced immigration in the U.S. and Texas Types of Immigration: economic, political, refugees, etc. v. family member, employment, lottery, investment, etc. Current federal laws Security and law enforcement Current statistical data by countries of origin for legal and illegal immigration Organization positions: federal, state, church, local, etc.
