DESIGNER INFORMATION

This season, Los Angeles Fashion Weekend is a collaborative effort to bring together the fashion industry in the City of Angels. We have combined forces to build a seasonal event that will demand respect and attention throughout the fashion world. Without imitation or reinvention, but rather will skill and originality, LA Fashion Weekend will create something that is globally appreciated while still being singularly Los Angeles.

This Fall, LA Fashion Weekend, October 16th-18th, will present the Spring 2010 runway collections in Los Angeles from the most desirable designers. The weekend long event will take place in the heart of Hollywood, incorporating what is exclu sive to Los Angeles and differentiating LA Fashion Week from other fashion weeks worldwide. LA Fashion Week will feature traditional runway shows, providing designers with the ability to showcase new collections but will also feature brand presentations, sponsor lounges, and design suits tailored to appeal to the most notable tastemakers and influential trendsetters. LA Fashion Week showcases the most respected, beloved and fashion forward brands proud to show in the "city of angels". We are excited to extend our event production and publicity expertise to create an exclusive experience for your brand during the Spring 2010 Fashion Weekend. Previous attendees have included; The Los Angeles Times, USA Today, InStyle, ELLE, Vanity Fair, Vogue, Nylon, Flaunt Magazine, Paper Magazine, Genlux, Angeleno, LA Magazine, People Magazine, US Weekly, The Huffington Post, Daily Candy, WGSN, E!, Bravo, WWD, California Apparel News, NBC, FOX, KTLA, The Today Show, Style Network, EPA, AP, Reuters, etc. As the popularity grows, culture savvy advertisers are realizing the undeniable marketing potential with such a powerful audience. Mikey Koffman & Hope Reiners

The Gallery Los Angeles is a full service event production and marketing company located in The Cooper Design Space, the heart of the Los Angeles fashion district. With over a decade of experience in the industry, Mikey Koffman, founder of The Gallery LA, has successfully launched events across the United States, garnering national recognition. Koffman's fashion shows, photo shoots, ad campaigns and launch parties have captured the attention of New York and Los Angeles' fashion elite, while receiving accolades for their skillfully conceived style and execution. Hope Reiners, Koffman's right hand, serves as the creative director of The Gallery LA, branding and overseeing all visual aspects of The Gallery's events. After producing runway shows on the rooftop of the Downtown Standard Hotel, The Mondrian, Viceroy and Smashbox Studios, The Gallery LA launched the first "sustainable" fashion show at Mercedes Benz Fashion Week at Smashbox Studios, The Green Initiative Humanitarian Fashion Show, for the last three seasons. Continuing to support sustainable brands, The Gallery Los Angeles created and produced the ECOllection Trade Show inside the MAGIC Marketplace in Las Vegas; inclusive of runway shows, live entertainment and over 100 designers. Last season, The Gallery LA teamed with KPR to launch LA Fashion Weekend at The Cooper Design Space, putting fall collections on the runway in an intimate, New York loft style setting. The event was inclusive of design suites, high end sponsors and live preview runway shows on the KTLA morning news. With a strong belief in the talent Los Angeles possess for a greater event, The Gallery LA seeks to create a Fashion Week incorporating the distinctive facets of Los Angeles that have yet to be seen at any fashion week worldwide.

kpr has worked with IMG Fashion on domestic and international fashion weeks for the past six years including; New York, Miami, Los Angeles, Moscow and Milan. kpr was responsible for securing press, media outreach, and editorial placement. kpr's close working relationship with Smashbox Studios has allowed them to be exposed to the immense talent in the Los Angeles area. This last season Alison Kennedy, founder and owner of kpr teamed with The Gallery Los Angeles to strive to create a successful platform for Los Angeles talent to showcase to the elite of the fashion industry. With great pride we are happy to continue our collaborative efforts to educate the world of the extraordinary talent and originality that Los Angeles has to offer.
