Kids ( Ages 4-15)

White White - Yellow Yellow White - Orange Yellow - Orange Orange White - Green Yellow - Green Green - Orange Green

THE OFFICIAL YOUTH BELT SYSTEM OF THE ROYCE GRACIE JIU-JITSU NETWORK IS AN ADAPTATION OF THE ORIGINAL 4 BELT STRUCTURE AS SUGGESTED BY PROFESSOR PEDRO VALENTE TO INCREASE MOTIVATION IN THE LEARNING PROCESS OF YOUNG STUDENTS. Note: All belts have 4 stripes. Upon earning 4 stripes, a student is promoted to the next belt. Stripes are earned at 4 month intervals. Minimum age for green belt is 14 years old. Minimum age for a blue belt is 16 years old.

Adults ( Ages 16 and up)

Blue Purple Brown Black Black Black

Note: Blue-Brown belts have 4 stripes. Upon earning 4 stripes, a student is promoted to the next belt. Minimum age for a blue belt is 16 years old Black Belt with white has 3 stripes. Upon earning the stripes, a student is promoted to Black Belt with Red.. Black Belt with Red and white stripes on the sides is an instructor belt.
