Makesurethekitsarewarmeduptobetween7585°F(2429°C)priortoapplication.Inwintermonthsmake suretowarmtanksup12dayspriortotheapplicationtoassurethecoretemperatureoftankshavewarmedto 7585F(2429°C). Cleangrease,oil,dirtandwateroffsurfacestobefoamed. Alwayswearrespirator,protectiveeyewear,imperviousgloves,suitableworkclothesorTyveksuit,duringuse. Youdonotwantthefoamtogetonyourskin.Itishelpfultoapplyamoisturizinglotiontofacepriorto spraying,asthelotionwillhelpkeepthefoamfromstickingtoanyexposedskinthegogglesandrespirator won'tcover.Usewithadequateventilation,withcertifiedrespiratoryequipment(ConsultMaterialSafetyData Sheet).TigerFoamInsulationislowpressuresprayfoamusingchemicaltemperaturesclosetoroom temperature,whichsignificantlyreducesanyoversprayorairbornecontaminantlevel.Theinstallershould provideadequateventilationtomaintainexposurelevelsbelowACGIH,OSHA,orotherapplicablelimits.In poorlyventilatedareasortemperaturesabove85°F,additionalproperrespiratoryprotectionmayberequired. Useanapprovedairpurifyingrespiratorequippedwithanorganicvaporcartridgewithparticleprefilters,ora suppliedairrespirator.Coverandprotectallsurroundingsurfaces. Ifyouwanttoreusethenozzletipsbesuretoacquiretheacetonesolvent.

SetUp

1.Kitshouldbeprewarmedbetween7585°F(2429°C).Inwintermonthswarmkit12dayspriortothe application.Taketanksoutofthebox(TF600kitswillbein2separateboxes)andshakethembeforeusing.To shake,rolltanksontheirsideandrockbackandforthvigorouslyfor3minuteseach.Tankscanbeplacedback inboxduringtheapplicationasthiswillhelpkeepthemuprightandwillbeeasiertomovearoundduringthe application. Removenozzlepacket(TF600kitsthenozzlesareinthe"A"box)andreadenclosedinstructionbooklet. SAFETY:Alwayshavetriggersafetylock"On"whensettingthekitup. 2.Attachthehosestothetanksusingthewrenchprovided.ThehoseandgunoftheTF600kitsareinthe"A" box.Thewrenchcanbefoundinthenozzlepack.AttachRedhosetothe"A"tank,andblackhosetothe""B tank.Handtightenwithwrench,butdonotovertighten.TheTF200kitshavethehosespreattached.

Applythinlayeroftheenclosedpetroleumjellyonthefaceofthegunandthenattachnozzletip.Thisthin layerofpetroleumjellyhelpskeeptheseatingportsandgunfaceclean.

3.Allnozzletipsareeasilycleanedandsolventresistant.Toreusenozzles,haveacontainerofacetoneready todropthedirtytipinatthetimeofthetipchange.Thedirtytipmustbeplacedintheacetonepriortoits completelycuringorthetipwillnotcleanwell.Cleaningnozzletipsmorethantwiceisnotrecommended. Gunfacecanbekeptcleanbyapplyingathinlayerofpetroleumjellytothefaceofthegun.Thisareacanbe cleanedwithasoftclothtoremoveanyresiduethatmayaccumulate. 4.Withtanksupright,openbothtankA&Bvalvescompletely.Tanksmustbeuprightduringuse. 5.Whensprayingforthefirsttimeandwitheachnewkit,dispensefoambysqueezingthetriggeronly1/4to 3/4openuntildesiredoutputandspraypatternisachieved.Thiscontrollablemeteringisanadvantageofthe gunassembly,allowingtheusercompletecontroloftheflowrateandspraypatternthatbestsuitsthe application. 6.Oncethetriggerissqueezeditmustbereactivatedwithin30secondsoranewnozzlemustbeinstalled. Tipsneedtobechangedevery8minutesofcontinuousspraytimeandalsoifyoustopsprayingformorethan 30seconds.FailuretodothiscouldresultingettingoffratiobetweentheAandBtanks.Itcanalsoresultin chemicalleakagethatcanruinthegunandhoses. 7.IMPORTANT:Afterreleasingtrigger,youcanactivatethetriggersafetylocktopreventaccidental discharge. 8.Donotremovehosesfromtanks.Donotflushorcleanhoseswithair,waterorsolventasthismay compromisegunassembly,whichmightaffectfoamquality.

TestSpray

Nowyouarereadytosprayatestareaonapieceofcardboardorintoreceptacletoensurepropermixing.¾" ofwetfoamwillcureto1"ofcuredfoam.Ifathickerapplicationisdesiredalwayslayerthefoamtoachievethe depthoffoamneeded.Whensprayingfoam,allowaminimumof1minutebeforeapplyingmorefoamover freshlysprayedfoam.Sprayinlayers12"thick(2.55.1cm)witheachapplication.Tryingtoapplymorethan2" (5.1cm)inasinglespraywillpackthefoamandmayresultinlowerexpansionandloweryields.

1.Productitemnumbersaredesignedtoapproximatethetheoreticalyieldsobtainablefromeachproduct.For example,TF600FRrefersto600boardfeetoptimumfoamyield,(aboardfootisameasurementtermequalto 12"x12"x1").Actualyieldswillvarydependingonfactorssuchasambientconditions,applicationtechnique, foamdensity,etc.SeeTechnicalDataSheetforadditionaltheoreticalyieldinformation. 2.VariousU.S.andforeignpatentscoverthedispensingsystem. 3.Suitabilityofthisproductforanyparticularpurpose,suchasachievingdesiredstructuralproperties, performancespecificationsorapplicationrequirementsmustbedeterminedbytheenduser,priortouse. Verificationthatproductisproperlyappliedandinstalledisalsotheresponsibilityoftheenduser. 4.Ifyouhaveanyquestionsaboutthisproduct,pleasecontactyourSalesRep.

WARNINGS:

Followsafetyprecautionsandwearprotectiveequipmentasrecommended. Thisequipmentincludesrespirator,goggles,andimperviousgloves,andprotectiveclothingsuchasatyveksuit. ConsultMaterialSafetyDataSheet(MSDS)forspecificinformation. Useonlywithadequateventilationorcertifiedrespiratoryequipment.NIOSHapprovedpositivepressure suppliedairrespiratororanegativepressurehalfmaskwithorganicvaporcartridgewithparticleprefiltersare recommendedifexposureguidelinesmaybeexceeded.Foamisverystickyandmaybeirritatingtoskinand eyes:therefore,wearimperviousgloves,protectiveeyewearandsuitableworkclothesduringuse.Itishelpful toapplyamoisturizinglotiontofacepriortospraying,asthelotionwillhelpkeepthefoamfromstickingtoyour skin.Ifliquidchemicalcomesincontactwithskin,firstwipethoroughlywithdrycloth,thenrinseaffectedarea withwater.Washwithsoapandwaterafterwards.Applylotionifdesired.Ifliquidcomesincontactwitheyes, immediatelyflushwithlargevolumeofcleanwaterforatleast15minutesandgetmedicalhelpatonce.If liquidchemicalisswallowed,drinkonetothreeglassesofwaterormilkandobtainimmediatemedical attention. KEEPOUTOFREACHOFCHILDREN.

STORAGEOFKIT

1.Closetankvalves. 2.Donotstoreattemperaturesabove120°F(490C)orbelow50°F(10°C).Kitsstoredbelow75°Fmustbegiven sufficienttime(12days)forthechemicaltowarmupto7585°F(2429°C).Optimalstoragetemperaturesare between6080(1526C). 3.Covertheprongsofthegunwithpetroleumjellyandanozzletip.Thisprotectsgunassemblyfromair exposureduringstorage.Thenozzletipshouldbeleftonduringstoragetokeepthegunfaceclean.

SAFETY:Alwayshavetriggersafetylock"On"andcloseallsupplyvalvesduringstorage.

4.Thisisagoodtimetorinseanytipsthatwereplacedintheacetoneforreuse.Simplyrinsetipinwaterand makesureallresidueisclearfromtipbeforedrying.Cleaninganozzlemorethantwiceisnotrecommended.

5.Donotremovehosesfromtanks.Donotflushorcleanhoseswithair,waterorsolvent. Removingorcleaninghosesmaycompromisegunassembly,whichmightaffectfoamquality. Thehoseandgunisadisposableunitnotdesignedforprolongedstorageorcontinuousreuse.Tohelpextend thestoragelife,itisrecommendedtodispenseaminimalamountoffoamfromunitatleastonceevery3days toensureoptimumflowofchemicalthroughhoses.Useofcontentswithin30daysofinitialuseis recommended.Makecertainvalvesareinuprightpositionwhenstoring,openingthem,andoperatingtheunit.

REUSEOFKITAFTERSTORAGE

1.Beforedisengagingthetriggersafetylock,removethenozzle. 2.Cleanoffexcesspetroleumjellyandcheckthatgunfaceisfreefromdirt,chemicalorotherdebris.If necessary,useasoftclothorragtoremoveanycuredfoamorchemicalfromthegunface.Applyathinlayerof petroleumjellytocoverthefaceofthegun.Thisthinlayerofpetroleumjellyhelpskeeptheseatingportsand gunfaceclean. 3.FollowtheSetUpinstructionsatthetopoftheOperatingInstructions.

DISPOSALPROCEDURES

1.DONOTINCINERATETANKS. 2.Aftertanksareempty,theymustbevented(depressurized).CAUTION:Tankswillstillbeunderpressure. Respirator,protectiveeyewearandimperviousglovesMUSTbewornduringtheprocedure.Withtankinverted, slowlyopentankvalve,pointtankAWAYfromfaceandallowpressuretocompletelyvent.Thisisbestdone intoagarbagereceptacle. CAUTION:Emptytankcouldcontainpotentialtoxicvaporhazard.Respirator,protectiveeyewearand imperviousglovesMUSTbewornduringtheprocedure.(ConsultMSDS). 3.DISPOSEOFEMPTYCYLINDERSACCORDINGTOAPPLICABLEFEDERAL,STATEANDLOCALREGULATIONS. Alwaysreadalloperating,applicationandsafetyinstructionsbeforeusinganyproducts.Useinconformance withalllocal,stateandfederalregulationsandsafetyrequirements.Failuretostrictlyadheretoany recommendedproceduresandreasonablesafetyprecautionsshallreleasethemanufacturerofallliabilitywith respecttothematerialsortheusethereof.ForadditionalinformationcontactyourSalesRep. Troubleshooting

·Poorchemicalflow(Note:wheninjectingfoamintoanenclosedcavity,itisimportanttocheckfrequentlythat chemicalisflowingproperlyandtoreplaceanynozzlethathasbecomeclogged.) Thisproblemcouldbethattankvalvesarenotfullyopenortanksopenedinthewrongposition,allowingonly propellantgastoescape.Tanksaretoocold. ·SlowcureThisproblemcouldbethattheunitisoutofshelflife,chemicalorsubstratetoocoldorthekitis dispensingoffratio. ·DarkcrunchyfoamThisisasignthatthefoamhasbecome"A"rich. Thesystemisoffratiocausingmoreofthe"A"chemicaltobesprayedthanthe"B"chemical. ·Foamshrinkagewithin24hoursThisisasignthatthefoamwassprayedoffratioandis"B"rich. ·WhitespongyfoamThisisasignthatthefoamhasbecome"B"rich. Thesystemisoffratiocausingmoreofthe"B"chemicaltobesprayedthanthe"A"chemical.Foamthatvisibly shrinkswithin24hoursafterapplicationmaybeanindicationof"B"richfoam. ·SputteringfromnozzleThisisasignofemptytanks,cloggednozzle,orablockageinthesystem. ·LackofexpansioninsprayedfoamThisproblemcouldbeassociatedwithtanktemperatures,clogged nozzlesorsprayingtechnique. ·Foamleakingfromhoseconnections­Hosesnottightenedenough.

Solution:STOPSPRAYINGandfollowinstructionsbelow

1.Removenozzleandspraychemicalintoaplasticgarbagebag.Checktoseethatbothchemicalsarebeing dispensedfromtheguninapproximatelyequalstreams. 2.Makesureallvalvesfromthetanktothedispensingunitarefullyopen. 3.Foroptimumresults,thechemicaltemperaturemustbebetween7585°F(2429°C).Duringcoldermonths tanksup12dayspriortotheapplicationtomakesurethecoretemperatureofthetankshavewarmedto75 85F(2429°C),especiallyifthetankshaverecentlybeentransportedorstoredinanunheatedenvironment. 4.Replacenozzle.Ifthenozzlehasbecomeclogged,thefoammaybecomeoffratio. 5.Makesuretanksarenotemptyandallvalvesarefullyopen.Shaketanksbackandforthtodeterminethat theycontainchemical. 6.Whensprayingfoam,allowaminimumof1minutebeforeapplyingmorefoamoverfreshlysprayedfoam. Sprayinlayersof12"thick(2.55.1cm.)witheachapplication.Tryingtoapplymorethan2"(5.1cm)inasingle spraywillpackthefoamandmayresultinlowerexpansionandloweryields. 7.Foammaybeoutdatedandunusable.Checktheexpirationdate.
