GUIDE TO CHURCH RECORDS IN THE HOLDINGS OF THE TENNESSEE STATE LIBRARY and ARCHIVES, PART 2

Manuscripts and Manuscripts Files

Church records can be very useful for genealogy researchers as they often contain membership lists, baptism, confirmation, marriage, and burial records. The Tennessee State Library and Archives has a large number of church records that date to the founding of the state. Following is a compilation of church records in TSLA's manuscripts collection arranged alphabetically followed by an index of churches for the church records in manuscripts.
