GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS FOR 11th ALL INDIA RIFLE, PISTOL AND CARBINE SHOOTING DUTY MEET 2010 Introduction: The 11th All India Pistol and Carbine Shooting Duty Meet 2010 will held at Chennai from June 2011. Tamil Nadu Police will be the host. 1. Location of the Range: The firing ranges are located in Kancheepuram be

Accessibility:

Chennai is easily accessible by road, train and air.

Climate: The weather in Chennai during January is normally pleasant during day and mild cold during night. Light cotton bedding is sufficient. No need for woolen clothing or bedding.

All State Police and CPOs Teams would be participating in The

Eligibility criteria: Every competitor participating in the competition must have completed a minimum of one year of continuous service in Police Department as on 31.12.2010 and a certificate to that effect at the bottom of the entry form should be appended duly signed by an officer not below the rank of Inspector General of Police. The Entry Forms should contain names of only shooters participating and maximum of only one substitute per event as laid down by the All India Police Sports Control Board, New Delhi.

Entry Form & Nominal Roll:

(a) Specimen of Entry Form of each

competition is enclosed at Annexure "A". Two copies of the Entry Form along with nominal roll duly filled in may please be sent to the Organising Secretary, 11th All India Rifle, Pistol and Carbine Shooting Duty Meet, ,,Marudham Complex, No.17 Boat Club Road, Raja Annamalai Puram, Chennai 600 028. on or before 15.12.2010. A copy of the same may also be sent to the Secretary, Central Co-ordinating Committee, IB, "E" Block No.8, Level-7, R.K. Puram, New Delhi. (b) The participating teams are also requested to take note of revised rules governing the rates and payments of entry fee for the Duty Meet. As per the latest instructions, the entry fee has to be deposited at the rate of Rs.50/- per participant including reserves, Managers and Coaches. This fee in lump sum in the form of an Account Payee Demand Draft favouring Organizing Secretary "AIPDM 2010 (Shooting Competition, Chennai)" payable at Chennai along with the entry forms and the nominal rolls duly certified should be sent to the Organising Secretary, 11th All India Rifle, Pistol and Carbine Shooting Duty Meet 2010, "Marudham Complex", No.17 Boat Club Road, R.A. Puram, Chennai 600 028. 7. Conduct: The Shooting Competition will be conducted as per the AIPDM

Rules Book as amended in 2010. The conduct of the Shooting Events are enclosed in Annexure-B. 8. Referees/Judges: Well qualified and experienced shooters from the host

Opening / Closing Ceremony:

a) All shooters should participate in the Opening / Closing Ceremony. b) Dress: Working Uniform will be worn by all ranks. c) The rehearsal for the Opening Ceremony shall be held on the 17 & 18 th January 2011 at Tamil Nadu Police Academy, Oonamancherry, Chennai. Detailed programme in this connection will be sent in due course.

d) Each team will bring two flags of their own State colour of the sizes of 6 x 4 & 3 x 2.

Cooking Gas: The Organising Committee will arrange to supply gas cylinder as well as gas stoves to all the teams on payment. All the teams should bring their own cooking utensils accordingly. No firewood will be allowed to be used for cooking.

Security Arrangements:

In order to ensure security, all officials and

members of the teams will be required to carry their Identity cards. Every member of the participating teams should bring with them two recent photographs of passport size in uniform duly attested for the purpose of preparing Duty Meet Card. 18. Transport: As most of the Teams and Team Managers are expected to come by train. Vehicles will be provided to receive the teams at Chennai Railway Station to bring them to the place of stay. Similar arrangements will be made at Chennai Airport for the Teams and Team Managers coming by air. Vehicles will be provided to the Team Managers to commute from their place of stay to the Firing Range every day. It is emphasized that it will not be possible to provide individual vehicles to the Officers. 19. Arrival of Teams: All participating teams are expected to reach Chennai Railway Station by 16th January 2011. It is emphasized that it will not be possible to render any Admn. Assistance to the teams arriving at Chennai before 16th January 2011. Accordingly, all the teams may intimate the exact date well in advance for providing Transportation. A reception center would

be established at the Railway Station, Chennai. Teams are requested to send nominal rolls of their participants and detail of Administration Party clearly stating their strength, rank-wise in duplicate by 15th December 2010. Since Railway have their well established computer network throughout the country,

Arms & Ammunition and other equipment: All teams are requested to make their own arrangements for their safekeeping. However, they can also avail themselves of Bell of Arms facilities at Tamil Nadu Police Academy.

Uniform: All the members of the participating teams are requested to wear their prescribed working uniforms during various competitions and also during the Opening and Closing Ceremonies. They should also compulsorily display Meet Identity Card issued by the Secretary of 11th All India Rifle, Pistol and Carbine Shooting Duty Meet 2010.

3.4 Note:- On command fire the target will appear for 3 secs and disappear for 4 secs the firer will fire one round on each appearance of the target however the first exposure will be left as a dry exposure.

PENALTIES: For all the practices of match IV (Carbine) not more that 2 shots on each target will be counted. If there are more than 2 hits on a single target, only the best two shots will be counted. A penalty of one point will be imposed for each single shot fired and penalty of 5 pts will also be imposed for each un-hit-targets in Practice No.1.

In case of Match-I Practice-4 (Rifle Snap) and Match III Practice-4, Pistol Revolver Snap (a) if the Shooter fires on the dry exposure 2 pts will be deducted from the practice score (b) if a shooter fires two shots on a single exposure, highest hit will be deducted for as many times as two shots are fired

on one exposure. This penalty will be in addition to the deduction made due to firing on dry exposure if the firer does so.
