CCTV OPERATOR - CENTRAL MONITORING STATION Job Purpose: Observe the CCTV and respond to situations appropriately to ensure the safety and well being of all personnel, customers and assets in all our business units. Protect the business from all forms of risk such as robbery, theft and fraud, by proactively investigating activity seen and responding to alarms and other emergencies. Toys R Us was founded in the UK in 1985 with the opening of 5 stores and since then we have grown throughout the UK. Our increasing range of product introductions in Babies R Us, Teentronics, Multimedia and Universe of Imagination add further dimensions to our unique customer proposition. This role is ideal for someone with previous Store Detective experience within a retail environment. The new central station has been set up to work with the stores in detecting unusual behaviour and to reduce and prevent theft. You will also be responsible for monitoring the customer service desk and ensuring security procedures are followed. With previous store detective experience you will possess good instincts and an inquisitive mind, a quick thinker with excellent communication skills and the ability to act quickly and comply with reporting procedures.
