~Our Welcome to You~

Welcome to Trinity and our worship service! We are happy you have come to worship with us. If we can serve you in some way or you have a need we can meet, please indicate that on the pew cards. We invite you to worship with us again next week. Thanks for being with us this day of worship, and may God's blessings be yours in the week ahead.

Pastor Schueler has been with us at Trinity since 1990! As we say goodbye, we remember the good times and look at his retirement as just another path on his journey of life given and blessed by our holy Father. Pastor Schueler was born on March 3, 1950 in Milwaukee. He graduated from Concordia College, Milwaukee in 1970 and continued on for his bachelor's degree at Concordia Senior College, Ft Wayne, Indiana. He then continued at Concordia Seminary in St. Louis, Missouri to receive his Master's of Divinity in 1976. During that time he served as Vicar in Ontario, California from 1974-1975. Along the way (Sept. 9, 1972) he married Bonnie (good choice!) and was blessed with his two beautiful daughters. He was installed at his first church, Zion in Bethalto, Illinois on July 4, 1976. From there he served at Immanuel in Mayville, Wisconsin from 1979-1985, and then Apostles' in Platteville, Wisconsin in 1985-1990. In 1990, he came to Trinity and ended up loving us so much he stayed! (Well, at least that's our story!) Now that his children are grown and starting lives of their own Pastor is ready for some time to be involved in all the joys that come with that. It's not just a rumor, on the eve of his retirement he has received a Call to St. Luke's in Lyndon Station. It does sound like that would be a nice ease in to retirement kind of job, a couple of days a week and not many other obligations, but we'll have to wait and see what the Lord has in mind for his future. As he embarks on this journey we bid him heartfelt thanks and continue to keep him in our prayers for all of the blessings the Lord has yet in store for him. "Well done, good and faithful servant." Matthew 25:21 POTLUCK PARTICULARS: Mark your calendars for Sunday, June 30th, 11:00am; there will be a celebration of Pastor Schueler's many years at Trinity and in the ministry. Pastor nomination forms are available through the office and need to be returned by July 7th. SCHEDULE CHANGES--This Saturday June 29th is the last Saturday service until further notice.
