PEOPLE: LEADER: PEOPLE: LEADER: PEOPLE: LEADER: PEOPLE:

first steps, God guides us along. Like the loving grandparent who gathers us into an abundant lap, God holds us in our times of need. Like a lasting friend who seems to sense our needs, God is mysteriously working for good in all our days. In many ways and with many faces, God is loving us. Halleluiah!

COMMUNITY CALENDAR: Many groups are using our facilities at different times during the week. If you have need to schedule an event or meeting, please call Glenda in the church office with those dates and times, so that she can place the information of activities on the Church Community Calendar. This calendar will be posted on the large bulletin board in Fellowship Hall and up-dated as needed. Thank You! FOR YOUR INFORMATION: Discussions are underway for The Riverside United Church of Christ to share Trinity's facilities in the near future. The details are being discussed and we ask that everyone be praying that God will use this place of worship in a mighty way. In the meantime, they are meeting TODAY, (May 11th), for an opportunity to experience Trinity on a first-hand basis with their own Worship Service in the Sanctuary at 12 noon.

AFFIRMATION OF FAITH: The God revealed to us in the pages of Scripture is a welcoming and inclusive God who directs us to love one another. So we gather to seek removal of all barriers to that love. Come to confess all that separates you from others and from your own best. We admit, Holy God, that we find it hard to hear your promise of new life. Even when we are dissatisfied with our lives, it is easier to cling to what we know than to risk the unknown. You challenge us to accept people who are different from us, but we are not eager to associate with them. You command us to love one another, but some people are not always loveable. O God, melt our defense so we can accept your love and let it flow through us. Grant us courage to embrace newness.

"HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY!"
