During her term as President, a ten-acre tract of land was purchased in San Antonio with $5500 down and $700 a month, for the home for delinquent girls. Hers was a successful fund-raising campaign for the girls home. The Ethel Ransom Art and Literary Club in Houston was organized in her honor in 1927. 1922 As Anti-Lynching Director was part of "One Million Women United to Suppress Lynching." 1955 Department Discussion: "The Girls and Their Work After her death, her husband renamed his medical facility the Ethel Ransom Memorial Hospital.
