UNIVERSIDAD NACIONAL DE EDUCACIÓN A DISTANCIA

(NACIONAL UNIVERSITY OF DISTANCE LEARNING)

WHY THIS CONFERENCE Interest in research relating to Learning Styles and their many applications in the classroom in both formal and informal educational settings has grown dramatically in recent years. Legislation regarding education has formalized the term Learning Styles without offering educators tools for the diagnosis of the same. Beginning with the platform of Doctoral Program and teacher training courses offered through the UNED during the past 15 years, there has arisen an important philosophy and educational practice resulting in various doctoral theses and hundreds of research projects. The instrument known as "CHAEA of Learning Styles" has been used with excellent results not only in Spain, but also Portugal, Argentina, Chile, Brazil, Peru, Mexico, Venezuela, Colombia, Uruguay, Paraguay, and USA. In this conference, we will attempt to unite, publish and share the largest number possible of resources, to the end that the productive effort realized during these past years will come to light and be recognized by the educational community. OBJECTIVES To provide a forum of discussion and debate for all those interested in the Theory and Practice of Learning Styles and their diverse applications and context of utilization. To offer an appropriate context for researchers, teachers, and business educators who desire the opportunity to express their reflections, experiences and applications related to Learning Styles. To facilitate communication between educators from all areas of the University, Secondary Education, Elementary Education, and informal education, who have the same concerns or interests in any aspect or specific area. To present educational software related to Learning Styles.
